In May 2015 I decided that it was time for me to branch out and set up a business on my own. This was the beginning of Sweetheart Nannies and the start of me trying to grow the Event childcare industry.
My name is Ami & I have been in childcare since 2006, my passion & love is definitely surrounding myself amongst children and all that they learn, develop and grow in to. Working at weddings & events is such a privilege, the majority of events we attend are very happy occasions for all involved and it is an absolute delight to be around happy, smiley people, who want to have a great time & want their children to be happy, relaxed and enjoying themselves just as much.
This ethos is very similar to how I am building & growing my business – my aim is to provide more families with a reputable childcare company who they can wholeheartedly trust to look after their children, whilst we are all happy, relaxed and enjoying ourselves.
Sweetheart Nannies started out with a handful of wonderful nannies and has gradually built to an ever-growing team of over 100 nannies who many have become good friends. All of my nannies are minimum level 3 trained, hold a DBS police check and have been personally interviewed by myself. As a private nanny myself, I have been Ofsted registered for a number of years and have also been inspected on the Voluntary register twice too – both fully compliant to Ofsted regulations.
Every day of running my business brings a new challenge & opens new doors. It has & is one of the most rewarding adventures that I have ever been on. I look forward to each & every event that we have booked in the diary and I cannot wait to see what the future holds and where this incredible journey will take Sweetheart Nannies.

Knowing my daughter had chicken pox and there was a possibility Jack would also get it I was worried about who would look after him on my wedding day. You came to my rescue with Jo, who I couldnt praise highly enough. She was amazing I felt confident and happy knowing my son was being well looked after and I could enjoy my day. Unfortunately. Jack did develop chicken pox the day before the wedding so he couldnt be part of the wedding but I'm so glad I had the foresight to book your nanny services. We have always felt our children are well cared for by her and have lots of fun! Amazing service.
We needed a nanny for our engagement party as my son has Autism and he was in a separate room so he could come into us if he wanted but have quiet when he needed. They came and met him before hand and helped him feel at ease before the party. Highly recommend !
Really excellent service from the company owner
Ami was flexible and gave good advice around numbers and length of time for our wedding crèche. We also hired a one-to-one Nanny for the baby of the bride who was very attentive and kind throughout. Thoroughly recommend sweetheart Nannies.
We had Brogan who came to take care of our 20 month old and 5 month old on the evening of our wedding.
Brogan was lovely, I instantly felt comfortable with her and both children took to her really well. If we get married again (bad joke) we'll definitely use Sweetheart Nannies again 🤣

Would be great for sleepovers or a camp out with your family!! Ami & team came and set it up, including everything you need - duvets, beds, lights etc - even a treat bowl!!! Def worth booking out! 3 happy kids who now LOVE glamping!!
Best decision we made for the day
Ami was so responsive via email and organised for Danni to come to our house the week before our wedding to run through our day and get to know our 2 1/2 year old daughter Eva. Eva is a confident little person but had only ever stayed with family so we were a little nervous to have someone we knew nothing about looking after our girl. Danni blew all of our expectations out of the water, she was an amazing person and an absolute credit to sweetheart nannies. We were able to fully relax knowing that Eva was being well looked after, and Eva absolutely adored Danni (shes still speaking about having her round for dinner over a week later). Having Danni meant that Eva could enjoy the wedding and so could all of our family and friends without anyone having to miss out by having to do laps with a buggy or sit elsewhere whilst she slept etc. Despite our best efforts to get Eva to nap before our ceremony, she actually fell asleep just before our wedding breakfast. Danni took her up to one of the bedrooms which meant she could sleep comfortably and prevented any of our families from missing out (which would have been the case if we didn’t have Danni). Thoroughly recommend. Best decision we made for the day and every parent left with envy wanted to know who Danni was and how they could get hold of her for their children. Everyone thought the girls were wonderful – as did I!
Everyone thought the girls were wonderful - as did I! All of the children had a lovely time with them, they loved all of the arts and crafts and it made the day so much easier knowing that Rory and all of the other children were being looked after. Also being able to put Rory to bed at 7 was brilliant! The best review was from my cousin whose daughter hates being left anywhere but she happily stayed in the crèche - which is a first for her! Was definitely one of the most worthwhile things we chose to have at the wedding.
